If your website design is out of date, chances are your content is out of date too.

Right now, open a new tab and go to your website. Read the content on your home page.

Does your website tell your target customer that you understand them? It better … because your competitor’s website does!

We know that writing new content sounds dreadful. It is always the hardest part of any website redesign project. Butit is also the most important part of your new website.

Even though we write on an almost daily basis, it is still our least favorite part of marketing LO + CO Group, LLC. We’d rather tinker with stylesheets or try out new graphics. But, we read new books all the time to get better at writing because we know we have to.

A book you may find helpful is Everybody Writes by Ann Handley. She is our copywriter crush. This new book of hers is fantastic and filled with actionable advice. (No, this is not an affiliate link … we just love the book and know it will help you!)

Don’t forget, updating your website content improves your search engine rankings, allows you to better connect with your target customer and breathes new life into a once old and stagnant website. It is worth the effort. Promise!
